BELOVED CHILDREN'S BOOK AUTHOR "LEO EDWARDS" - Edward Edson Lee
My mother, her younger sister and two older brothers, grew up in a very small town in So. Minnesota, Rose Creek. Her brothers lived the life they and my Mom read about in Leo Edwards' books. She passed her love of Jerry Todd and Poppy Ott's small town adventures to me, and I on to my boys.
My father introduced me to Jerry Todd and Poppy Ott in 1953, when I was seven years old. He had read all the books in the 1920s and 1930s, and passed them on to me. They are the reason I became the person I became. My father and I grew up in a town remarkably similar to Tutter, Illinois and we could both relate to everything on every page. This is a remarkable legacy. Has the family website been taken down? I could not link.
