A member of The Association of Graveyard Rabbits~~~~ As I say in my Find a Grave profile, "There is a story under every stone". While photographing graves for Find A Grave or genealogy research, I have come across many interesting stories about the people buried under those tombstones. In this blog I will share some of the most interesting of these stories with you. Why? So these people will not be forgotten. ~~~~~Jim Craig - Evanston, Illinois USA - Contact me at: jwcraig1100@gmail.com

As always... thanks! Another great article.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and story, Jim!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finding Ander’s final resting place. Yes, those cemetery employees can be a squirrelly lot. Confronted with a correction, their attitude can range from very grateful, to hostile indifference. But I usually go back to the office when I find an error. The knowledge that it may help a relative in the future find the grave, and the occasional thank you, makes it worthwhile.
