One of the photos is in a MABEL SYKES CHICAGO folder and the photo is embossed with a MABEL SYKES CHICAGO script-style emboss. Thank you for the detailed article about this well-known photographer who photographed one of my wife's relatives.ProfessorKeelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10163884487235932225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1763574393548209576.post-51115652370295273482015-01-05T02:59:58.475-06:002015-01-05T02:59:58.475-06:00Nice blog I loved it and mabel nor valentino will ...Nice blog I loved it and mabel nor valentino will be forgotten. It appears to be a color image but, not surprisingly, is badly faded. The print appears to be some type of a metallic blue hue with what looks like a "clouds" background in the studio. Can anyone tell me anything about the printing, paper or developing process of that time?mikerophotohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16157407537389845351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1763574393548209576.post-73872787206511597392013-09-07T00:42:14.175-05:002013-09-07T00:42:14.175-05:00Great article. I found this post after looking up Mabel because of a photo I found in my basement of a relative (might be uncle who was on radio in Chicago 'back then') that had the embossed crest(bottom right.) Now I'm very curious to nail down who this photo is.76swifthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14042285751855001921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1763574393548209576.post-52870058077268290832013-07-03T07:45:33.988-05:002013-07-03T07:45:33.988-05:00She really was quite a woman!
